A Pair of Suspects Charged with Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges after the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) stand indicted for homicide and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.

Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
