British tennis star Emma Raducanu concludes her season and plans to retain her coach into the 2026 season.

Emma Raducanu advanced to round three in three Grand Slam tournaments major tournaments in the current campaign.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of her final two events this season because of a health issue she has been fighting over the past 10 days.

The 22-year-old had planned to participate in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but opted to return home to regain her health prior to beginning next year's training.

Those preparations will include trainer Francisco Roig, as they have agreed to work together in 2026.

The tennis professional required blood pressure checks in her opening round with Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and withdrew when losing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at this week's Ningbo Open, where she was defeated in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.

She was also playing with clear difficulty in the final set versus Zhu because of a lower back issue that has been a concern at times this year.

Such performances followed a positive campaign, in which she climbed into the international top 30 for the first time for the first time since 2022, ended with three successive defeats.

Raducanu had three match points prior to falling to American player Jessica Pegula in the third stage in Beijing last month.

She secured 28 victories in the current season and advanced to the semis in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami event in March.

Ranked first in Britain advanced to the quarters of this WTA 1000 tournament, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament before losing in a three-set match to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She worked with Mark Petchey as coach from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role in time for the US Open.

The initial agreement with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was through the season's conclusion but they will keep working together, with planned training sessions late this year.

The athlete revealed that the trial session alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

The player was close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati in August.

Roig joined her in New York, where she made the third stage before being beaten by Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
