Real Madrid's winger Offers Apology to Real Madrid Fans

Vinicius Jr in action

Vinicius Jr has registered 5 goals in ten domestic competition appearances so far this term.

The Madrid giants forward Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to supporters for his response when replaced in Sunday's intense match against Barcelona triumph.

Vinicius was taken off in the 72nd min and showed his frustration by going straight down the tunnel.

He eventually reappeared to the sidelines and, following his side's 2-1 win, tried to confront Barcelona's opposing player during unsavoury post-match scenes.

"Now I want to express regret to all the Madridistas for my behavior when I was substituted in the derby," he shared on social media.

"In the same way as I have previously expressed during this morning's training, I would like to apologise again to my teammates, the team, and the president.

"Sometimes passion overcomes me because I constantly desire to succeed and help my team. My competitive character comes from the passion I have for this club and everything it symbolizes."

The player joined Real from his former club in the year 2018 for £38.7m and has notched 111 goals in numerous matches.

But his future in the La Liga is far from certain with speculation in the past few months indicating that Real would consider permitting the 25-year-old leave if they obtained a good proposal.

When he was replaced on Sunday, cameras from network Dazn captured him stating: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I depart, I'm leaving."

In his new statement on social media, Vinicius stated: "I commit to keep fighting every second for the welfare of the club, as I have acted since the initial arrival."
