Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving young women.
The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
