Vince Zampella, Dies in an LA Traffic Collision
The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.
The celebrated game designer died after his automobile collided and caught fire on a freeway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, as reported by.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
